Rick Barnhill (Super Gym) - fight against Gago Drago on short notice

On 25th February, promoted by Dan Green Promtions, Rick Barnhill stepped into the ring against K-1 Max Superstar Gago Drago on less than 2 weeks notice live on primetime British television.
Barnhill, coached by Vinny Shoreman, was replacing injured teammate Kevin Harper and had less than 12 professional fights to his name.
Barnhill lost the fight being stopped in the third round but never outside K-1 Max had anyone taken a fight to Gago Drago like this, Barnhill stood toe to toe with him for 3 rounds beckoning him on and smiling. Drago said he had never been hit so hard and for the first time ever he had to pull out of fighting 4 weeks alter due to injuries sustained in this fight.
Christi Campbell (Saints) - young fighter against seasoned fighter Ruth Ashdown

On 7th October, promoted by Jon Jarvis Promotions Christi Campbell stepped in on just a weeks notice against the more experienced Ruth Ashdown from Crawley Thaiboxing.
Campbell lost the fight on points but stood and traded for much of the fight with Ashdown who can bang with her right hand. Despite having her nose broken halfway through the fight Campbell continued to stand and fight to the very end.
Craig Jose (Sor Thanikul) - winning Power Of Scotland tournament

On 4th March, promoted by O'Brien Promotions, Craig Jose took part in the Power Of Scotland 8 man 67 kilo tournament. Jose has always been regarded as a tough, never say die fighter but in this tournament many regarded him beforehand as an "also ran" up against the favourites: Michael Dicks, Thongchailek and Ukrainian Dennis Varsaza.
Jose went on to win the tournament in style beating two of the favourites on the way through - 1st round beat Michael Dicks, semi-final beat Tim Thomas and then Dennis Vaarsaxa in the final.
To win 3 fights against such quality in one evening is a great achievement.
Tim Thomas (NMT) - fight against Michael Dicks

On 11th November, promoted by Showsport International, Tim Thomas faced Michael Dicks under Full Thai Rules.
With James France and David Pacquette having previously beaten Thomas many thought this would have been an easy fight for Dicks and wrote Thomas off.
The fight though was an elbow war from start to finish and Thomas stopped Dicks in the second round in style.
