Best Farang Fighter of The Year
Voting now open
This is a new initative by Muaythai Online to recognise what the cream of British Muaythai have produced this year.
Voting takes place on Muaythai Online with the public deciding who will be recognised as each winner.
Nominations were open for the last two weeks and the following nominations have been successful:

Liam Harrison (England)

Liam Harrison, from Bad Company Leeds, has had a very busy year with 10 fights, winning 8 of them.
He started off the year beating Rungsiam on points. Rungsiam had previously beaten Kieran Keddle.
Harrison then defended his WPMF world title on March 16th winning by KO against an Iranian opponen.
He then lost at Rajdamnern against their ranked number 4 Gupi Wor Suthira.
On 23rd June Harrison got his shot at the WMC world title against top ranked Rajadamnern fighter Numphon PK Sterio. Numphon won the fight in a very close points decision.
In August Harrison then had a Western boxing fight above his normal fight weight against the Cambodian Champion, which he won by KO.
He then defended his WPMF world title for a second time in the same year winning by 2nd round KO.
On 28th October, Harrison headlined the Power Of Scotland show knocking out Sornkom from Jockey Gym in the second round.
Harrison then finished the year getting revenge against Numphon PK Sterio by knocking him out in the fourth round and taking the WMC world title off him.
Andrei Kulebin (Belarus)

Andrei Kulebin, from Kick Fighter Minsk, has had a busy year.
He successfully won again the prestiogious 8man WMC I-1 tournament in Hong Kong.
He also beat Rudo Durica by TKO who previously had been his hardest opponent.
He won the IFMA Gold Medal in the 2007 World Championships beating Preecha Laoyonkam of Thailand in the final.
Phil McAlpine (England)

Phil McAlpine, originally from Bromley Thai, has spent the last couple of years fighting out of Kaewsamrit Gym in Bangkok.
This year he managed to achieve a top 5 Rajadamnern ranking at 70 kilos being ranked number 5.
He also acheived number one ranking with Omnoi STadium and the WMC.
John Wayne Parr (Australia)

John Wayne Parr is from Boonchu Gym in Queensland.
On 21st July he fought gun Lim on the K-1 Khan event winning on points.
On 1st December John WAyne Parr beat Brazilian fighter Cosmo Alexandre on points.
He also took part in Contender Asia but results are currently unknown.
