Best Thai Fighter of The Year

This is a new initative by Muaythai Online to recognise what the cream of British Muaythai have produced this year.
Voting takes place on Muaythai Online with the public deciding who will be recognised as each winner.
Nominations were open for the last two weeks and the following nominations have been successful:

Anuwat Kaewsamrit

Anuwat Kaewsamrit had a successfuly defence of his WBC featherweight title on 8th March beating Singtongnoi Por Telakun on points.
He stopped top Dtuch fighter Hassan Ait Bassou at the Slamm May event.
Buakaw Por Pramuk

Buakaw started off the year beatin Japanese fighter Tsogto amar on points.
He then went up against Andy Olugun on 4th April winning on points.
Next up was his WMC world title defence under Full Thai Rules against Giorgio Petrosian which ended in a draw and left Buakaw as still the champion.
He then faced Dutch fighter Nicky Holzken at the end of June winning on points and qualifying for the final 8 for K-1 Max.
In the first round of the K-1 Max final Buakaw lost to Japan's top fighter Masato on points, being outboxed with his hands.
Lamsongkram

Langsongkram started off the year beating Steven Wakeling for the WBC world title in England in February.
He then defended his WBC title against Johan Lidon in September winning again on points,
Orono Wor Petchpun

Orono Por Petchpun (former Orono Majesticgym) beat William Diender from Holland on the Slamm event in May.
Orono Por Petchpun finished the year beating Sanchai Sor Kingstar on points (albeit with a 4 pound weight advantage) .
Sanchai Sor Kingstar

Sanchai Sor Kingstar is regarded as one of Thailand's most technically complete fighters.
