Muaythai Fight Night - Auckland boxing association stadium, Auckland, New Zealand. 12th April

1st fight was between Ray Conway[Rebels Gym] V Gary Donaldson [Smac Gym],
good clean novice fight with the result a draw.


2nd fight was between Brutal Bruce Robinson[Rebels Gym]V Willman Rodriguez[Pathai Gym],
This fight was fought at 64 kgs and was a very good fight. Bruce landing the cleaner shots throughout the fight, while Willman always looked dangerous. Result majority ppints decision to Robinson.


3rd fight was between Mike Grizzly Golt [ Elite Thai Boxing Gym]V Steve Donaldson [ Smac Gym ],


4th fight was between Richard Stewart[Rebel Gym] Vclinton Draper [Pathai Gym],
This fight was very close with both lads showing good techniques and a lot of heart. Winner on pts Richard Stewart.


5th fight was between Chanel Federika[Philip Lams Lee Gar Gym]V Prince S Vanhany [ Terry Hill's Gym] 84 kgs.
The fight started pretty quickly and Chanel started to get the ring rust out pretty quickly after a 5 year layoff, his last fight was for a New Zealand title against Daniel Hatch. He caught the Prince and the referee stopped the fight much to the disgust of Prince's corner. Result TKO Chanel


6Th fight was between Roger Wildman Earp [Elite Thai Boxing Gym]V Jordan Tai [Tai Bros Gym],
Roger is the former NZ champion and Scottish and Belgian champion, this was his first fight in six years.Jordan is South Pacific champion,nz champion and is still only 18 yrs old, this boy has knocked his last 7 opponents out.
The fight started at a good pace with Jordan looking to connect with his favorite, jab, right cross,right head kick, with Roger attempting to fight a tradional Thai fight and go low with his kicks every time Jordan went high,as well as grappling him and using knees. After two rounds Jordan started to get on top of Roger mainly due to fatigue, six years out of the ring and then to fight the champion is a lot to ask. Jordan eventually caught Roger with an uppercut on the ropes and finished the fight with a knockout in Round 4.
These two will meet again as Roger is now back in full training and will soon get a couple more fights under his belt and he could reverse this result in the future.


World Title Eliminator- NZ WKBT 70 kgs.
Duan Magic Marshall[Marshall Arts Gym] V Ruthless Raphael Tai[Tai Bros Gym]
Round 1 was pretty even with Raph using good hands and leg kicks, Duan moving and countering.
Round 2 was the same as the first but with the action hotting up, Raph hitting Duan with powerful leg kicks at every oppertunity.
Round 3: Raphael was starting to look too strong for Duan, although Duan was still keeping Raph guessing with good combinations.
Round 4: Raph getting stronger every round showing good footwork and stamina, Duan was starting to struggle.
Round 5 was a very good round for both boys giving it everything and pleasing the large crowd in attendance. But at the end there was only one winner Ruthless Raphael Tai. Watch out for these Tai brothers in the near future, champions in the making.
