Muaythai in Fresno, California

It's here! The toughest fighting sport on two feet - IFC EXTREME COMBAT! The fighters can punch, they can kick, they can throw their opponents to the mat, but they've got to win standing up. It's the roughest fighting sport in a ring. It's all the excitement of boxing, karate, kickboxing, kyokoshinki, and muay thai in one ring in a single elimination tournament style format. Fighters are matched in weight classes and fight until there is only one fighter undefeated in that weight class. It's none stop action from bell to bell!

Light Heavyweight Tournament "A" Eliminator Fight I
Jason Pratt (San Luis Obispo, CA., 185lbs/5'11, SLO-Kickboxing) vs Brian Sleeman (Modesto, CA, 190lbs/5'9", Dynamic Karate): Winner : Sleeman by K.O. Rd 1, 1:17
This was a fast fight. Pratt coming in looking to be in better shape. As Brian Sleeman was hearing cat calls from the audience, he landed with a huge right for the K.O.!

Light Heavyweight Tournament "A" Eliminator Fight II
Phil Bensminger (Huntington Beach, CA, 180lbs/5'8", Team Machine) vs Jack Moore (Folsom, CA, 185lbs/5'9", Team Extreme): Winner : Bensminger by TKO Rd 1, 1:07
Both fighters came in with NHB men in their corners, John Lober and Cal Worsham. John Lober proved this night why Tito Ortiz left Team Machine. Bensminger fouled more then once this night, and probably should have been DQ'd! But, I will not take this away from him, he is a very exciting fighter. He needs to fight NHB rather than Muay Thai event.

Light Heavyweight Tournament "B" Eliminator Fight I
Roy Phillipe (Jacksonville, FL, 190lbs/6'0", Peacock Academy) vs Paul Berg (Folsom, CA, 195lbs/6'2", Team Extreme): Winner: Phillipe by TKO Rd 3, 1:19
Phillipe was a master of defence, and Berg just got really frustrated trying to land kicks and punches. Phillipe's plan worked to a "T" as Berg gassed out and Phillipe took advantage and won the fight!

Light Heavyweight Tournament "B" Eliminator Fight II
Dylan Hurrle (Escalon, CA, 195lbs / 6'1", R.I.F.S.) vs Bobby Southworth (San Jose, CA, 195lbs/6'0", Shamrock USA) Winner : Southworth by TKO Rd 1, 3:00
Southworth comes in and proves once again how much of a great athlete he is. Southworth is going to go places for sure. I have now seen him fight NHB and Muay Thai. He is incredible at both. He showed his golden gloves skills to win his fight!

Middleweight Single Fight
Charles Taylor (San Jose, CA, 170lbs/5'8", SLO-Kickboxing) vs Troy O'Conner (Sacramento, CA, 175lbs/5'8", Real World Fight Team) Winner : Taylor by TKO Rd 1, 2:30
Charles Taylor came into this fight needing a big win. Taylor is now working hard on his standup fighting with the SLO guys and it showed. He landed a lot of huge punches and knocked his opponent down three times. Good win with a good showing of his striking ability.

Light Heavyweight Tournament "A"
Phil Bensminger (Huntington Beach, CA, 180lbs/5'8", Team Machine) vs Brian Sleeman (Modesto, CA, 190lbs/5'9", Dynamic Karate) Winner : Bensminger by KO Rd 4, 1:26
This was the fight of the night, hese guys threw down. The fans were on their feet for most of the fight. Both fighters took turns landing big shots. The fighters even ended up on my table and the fight still kept going, with cornermen runningover to the table and getting a few shots in theirselves. The fans were treated to a four round war. Great fight!!!!!!!!

Light Heavyweight Tournament "B"
Bobby Southworth (San Jose, CA, 195lbs/6'0", Shamrock USA) vs Roy Phillipe (Jacksonville, FL, 190lbs/6'0", Peacock Academy) Winner : Southworth by U. Dec 5th round.
Southworth showed great skill onnce again. Phillipe showed great defence once again but forgot to try some offence. Southworth proved head and shoulders above the rest of the fighters.
