K1 USA superfight: ISKA muaythai world title

Alex Gong's opponent for his fight at the K1 USA has been confirmed as Duane Ludwig.

KING OF THE CAGE resident "striker" Duane BANG! Ludwig of Denver, Colorado will face the king of the hill, Alex "f-14" Gong of the battle tested FAIRTEX camp in SanFrancisco, California. This match was just signed between K-1 USA promoter Scott Coker, and Ludwig's manager and RING OF FIRE promoter Sven Bean. The fight will be five rounds of Muay Thai with the ISKA Lt. MIDDLE WEIGHT WORLD TITLE on the line. Alex won the belt in 1999 and has held on to it for two years. Ludwig plans to change that. Ludwig has wanted this fight for sometime and realizes the oppirtunities that a win on a K-1 card can bring. Alex Gong is known as one of the best fighters in the world at that weight and will be Ludwig's toughest opponent to date.


This fight is set to take place on the undercard of the K-1 show on May 5th at the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
