Farewell fight of Thai boxing legend Gilbert Ballantine
Budo Sport OZEKI (Mr. & Mrs. John and Simone Benner) are organising an International Thai boxing event under the auspices of the Muay Thai Federation Netherlands, & the I.K.B.O. Germany.
Venue:
DUDOK Arena, Arena Park Hilversum the Netherlands, opposite Train station NS Hilversum Sportpark.
The program is as follows:
Saturday: March 3 Th.
Press conference starts at 16.00 hours at DUDOK Arena, to which you are invited
Sunday March 4 Th.
16.00 hours (doors open at 14.00 hours) International Thai boxing Competition:
With competitors from: the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Thailand, & Japan.
To be expected are about 15 professional Thai boxing matches, and 1 K1 fight. The K1 fight will be between Marino de Florin from Switzerland, and Takayuki Kohruimaki of Japan. Winner of this match places himself to the finals at Tokyo Dome Japan.
Among the other matches are; 1 Dutch Title fight, 2 World title fights Thai boxing I.K.B.O., main event: the farewell fight of Thai boxing legend Gilbert Ballantine.
One of the world Title fights will be a Ladies Thai boxing match between Ilonka Elmont from the Netherlands and Lisa Houghton World champion ISKA from Leeds U.K in the weight category up to 50.80 kg. (Flyweight). The other world title fight I.K.B.O. is between Boulem Bellaini (Chakuriki) from the Netherlands, and Philippe da Silva (France), in the weight category up to 61.23 kg.

Gilbert Ballantine holds besides of an impressive number of fights won against many famous fighters from all over the world, several titles. He has achieved: 4 times Dutch champion, 3 times European champion, and 9 times world champion in Kick and Thai boxing!

Chris Dolman, Rob Kaman, 3 times K1 Champion of Tokyo Dome Japan Ernesto Hoost winner of this years edition and winner of USD 400.000! Ivan Hyppolite, 3 times K1 champion Peter Aerts, Fred Royers, Lucien Carbin, Gilbert Yvel, and Hassan Ettaki. Special issued Lithographic of these former and present champions as well from Gilbert Ballantine will be on display at the gallery of the DUDOK arena. In total 3 K1 Finalists of December 2000 held K1 Tournament at Japan are special guests of honour, number 3 is Stefan Leko from Germany who is to be expected with his trainer Klaus Waschkewitz who is also president of the I.K.B.O. (International Kick Boxing Organisation) Germany.
