Nitta back to winning ways
On the ‘Back
from Hell’ event in Japan on 8th December Japanese superstar Nitta faced Sak
Nagaym of England who had just recently fought in Thailand.
Nitta was
knocked out in the K-1 Japan max GP by Takashi Ohno and in his fight before
that he drew with Ramon Dekker. Nitta needed a win to keep his fans happy. The
match was fought without elbows to the head. In the first Nayagam went for an
all out attack raining punches and kicks on Nitta. More of the same followed in
Round two though Nitta started to counter well with hard low kicks. In the
third round Nitta stepped up the pace with solid kicks to the legs and body of
Nagayam. Nayagam traded with him but Nitta was too fast. Nitta forced a
stoppage with a combination of low kicks and punches.
Also on the show ISKA
World Champion Susumi Daiguji faced Shinobu Hanato of
Mongolia.
Daiguji had early success rocking Hanato with a series of punches, but Hanato
composed himself and came back strong in the second round hurting Daiguji with
an elbow strike, then putting him down with a right cross. In an explosive
third round both fighters went for the kill with Hanato finally knocking
Daiguji cleanout with a head kick. In the other main event of the evening All
Japan heavyweight champion Yasuhiro Amber faced Robust Houseman of South Africa
with Houseman getting the pointes decision.
Sak Nagayam's next fight is on a show in London on 16th February at York Hall, Bethnal Green against a Thai. This show also features Kieran Keddle and Steven WAkeling fighting Thais.
Wakeling faces Ying Yai for the WMC Superwelterweight World Title.
