Ozkan Slims

THE SUPREME SLIMMING MACHINE

Gurkan Ozkan has hung up the gloves on his heavyweight career and is trimming his weight once more.

Ozkan, a former two-time super middleweight world champion (75kg) made the move to heavyweight in 2000 for a chance at K-1 glory.

Ozkan added almost 20 kilograms to his short frame, tipping the scales between 91 and 93 kilograms as a heavyweight. He attained mixed success, defeating Traill Dowey and Paul Robinson by KO and losing to Phil Fagan (dec), Peter Graham (TKO) and Chris Chrisopoulidis (TKO).

Each of the opponents Ozkan lost to grossly outweighed and outreached him.

After several discussions, Ozkan and his management have decided to take "The Supreme Fighting Machine" back down to super middleweight / light heavyweight: the divisions in which he wreaked so much havoc years ago.

Ozkan currently weights 83kg and losing.
