The Demolition Express Ready To Rumble

There are some fighters whose mere presence injects fear into the hearts of their opponents. Whose ferocious build, steely eyes and feared reputation is enough to instil doubt in the mind of even the toughest adversary. ANDREW PECK is such a man.
On February 24, at the Crown Casino Showroom in Melbourne, the man dubbed "The Demolition Express" will "take no prisoners" in his effort to become the K-1 Oceania King of Kings.
"I'm training hard and feel fantastic," says Peck. "I'm in peak physical condition. Just try to stop me!"
Peck will tip the scales at 112kg of solid muscle come Feburay 24. Add this to his imposing height of 6' 4" and you have a man-monster who will prove a handful for anyone.
Peck will face NSW K-1 champion Auckland Aumitagi in his first fight. Should he defeat Aumitagi, Peck will move onto a showdown against either defending champion Mark Hunt or QLD K-1 champion Nathan Briggs. And what does Peck say about fighting either man: "No problem!"
"They are both tough boys but they have their weaknesses and I will expose those," says Peck.
Peck is a master at exposing weaknesses. It is a trait he learned in his full contact Karate career as both a black belt in Kei San Kan Karate and a brown belt in Seido Karate. He lived and trained in Japan for six years developing the physical and mental toughness that he now exudes in the ring.
This toughness was on show last year when Peck won the K-1 8-man New Zealand tournament with three first-round knockouts, including a sizzling roundkick knockout of Ron Sefo.
It was that performance that lead Peck to be dubbed THE DEMOLITION EXPRESS and to be considered one of the hot favourites to win the February 24 K-1 Oceania 2001.
